Books

BOOKS THAT BELONG IN EVERY PERSONAL LIBRARY

Antifragile: Things That Gain From Disorder - This is a difficult book to categorize or summarize and that's part of what makes it so good. According to Nassim Taleb, many things in life benefit from chaos, stress, disorder, volatility, and turmoil... and actually get stronger and more resilient in the process.

Deep Nutrition - An incredible book that explains why our ancestors thrived on traditional food (and why we should do the same):

- fresh food
- fermented and sprouted foods
- meat cooked on the bone
- organ meats

This book goes on to cover a variety of topics in detail, from disease prevention to increasing the chances of having healthy offspring.

Efficiency: Get Rich Without Giving Up Your Life - This book by Wall Street Playboys covers the Big 3 of Health, Wealth and Relationships.

Guns, Germs and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies - Jared Diamond argues that geographical and environmental factors shaped the modern world. Societies with a head start in food production advanced beyond the hunter/gatherer stage, and then developed religion, along with disease and weapons of war.

High Performance Habits - This book isn't about automatic habits like drinking water when you're thirsty or driving your car. It's about the 6 most powerful, deliberate habits that are consistent across high performers... and how they're able to maintain long-term success.

This book helped me understand where I need to improve and inspired me to make immediate changes to my morning routine, daily to do list and weekly review.

If you feel like you should be a lot more successful, but can't figure out why, read "High Performance Habits."

How An Economy Grows and Why It Crashes - This is an amusing, educational book that takes a needlessly complicated topic - economics - and explains economic growth, consumer credit, inflation, trade, savings, risk and more with simple language, storytelling and illustrations.

How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World - Do you feel like you're living life on your own terms? Between the government, society, school, family and friends all trying to tell you what to do with your life, it might seem like you don't have a lot of freedom, but you do.

If you're one of those people who likes to do their own thing, but feels like there's always something holding you back, take a look at "How I Found Freedom." It explains over a dozen "freedom traps," how to avoid them and general guidelines on how to live your life with more freedom.

How to Win Friends and Influence People - A classic for a good reason. This book is a great introduction to have healthy, productive relationships.

It'll show you how to get people to like you, how to persuade people, how to be a leader and more.

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion - Classic by Robert Cialdini that explains the 6 universal principles of persuasion, how to use them and how to defend yourself against them.

Man's Search for Meaning - Psychiatrist Viktor Frankl's memoir describes his experience and the lessons of living in Nazi death camps.

Frankl argues that we can't avoid suffering, but we can choose how to deal with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with a renewed sense of purpose.

Mastery - All of Robert Greene's books are incredible. What makes "Mastery" special is it explains... in incredible detail...  the path to mastering your craft.

Most people today pursue shortcuts and that's one of the reasons they fail. "Mastery" shows exactly what it takes to become world class as whatever path you choose.

If you're the kind of person who never finishes anything... or is always working on a new skill or project and never getting anywhere, you need to read "Mastery."

Maxims - A collection containing over 500 of La Rochefoucauld's maxims on life, like "We promise according to our hopes and perform according to our fears."

Meditations - Nowadays, more and more people seem confused about life, i.e. how to live a fulfilling life. Marcus Aurelius, Emperor of Rome also struggled with that question and this book follows his thought process (and provides answers).

This book is a popular introduction to Stoicism. Make sure you get the Gregory Hays translation.

Million Dollar Habits and Winning Through Intimidation by Robert Ringer. Both of these books on mindset and success will help you understand why many of the "rules" you've heard are wrong.

Naked Economics - Economics explained in a way anyone can understand.

Principles - A must-read from billionaire Ray Dalio that explains his thought process and the principles that have guided his success.

Psycho Cybernetics - When most people think about mindset, they think about motivation and positive thinking. That's part of it, but having the proper mindset is much more than that and it's critical to making the most of life.

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind - Dr. Yuval Harari uses science and history to explain humanity's creation and evolution.

Skin in The Game - Another Taleb book that's deep and makes you think.

Striking Thoughts - A collection of aphorisms by Bruce Lee.

The 33 Strategies of War - This book is more applicable than the 48 Laws in my opinion.

The Concise 48 Laws of Power - There's no need to read the longer, original version (unless you want to). This version will give you the meat.

The Art of Worldly Wisdom

The Bed of Procrustes - A book of aphorisms by Nassim Taleb.

The Greatest Salesman in the World - Much more than a sales book.

The Lessons of History - A short book that covers many important lessons. Page for page, one of the most valuable books every written.

The Millionaire Fastlane - The Millionaire Fastlane will show you how to evaluate business opportunities and hammers in the difference between making money fast vs. money slow.

This book completely changed the way I see money and it's an important book to read even if you don't run your own business.

The Moral Sayings of Publius Syrus

The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided By Politics and Religion - Explains the difference between Conservatives and Liberals.

Triangle Investing - Another solid book from Wall Street Playboys (I actually prefer it over Efficiency). Covers stocks, real estate and crypto.

MEMOIRS

It doesn't focus that much on teaching sales. It's more about the kind of person you need to be to achieve massive success.

NEGOTIATION

You can read both of these books over and over again. There's so much meat, it'd take a lifetime to internalize all the lessons in these books.

Arnold: The Education of a Bodybuilder - You want to read this for the 1st half of the book. Arnold's story is inspiring and should drive you to seek greater things in life.

STORYTELLING

Understanding Comics - This book is incredible from a visual perspective. Also highly informative. A very deep book that will teach you a lot.

BONUS: Books For Men

The Testosterone Optimization Therapy Bible - This is an incredibly important book for men's health. Buy it, read it and use it as a reference.

RELATIONSHIPS
Anatomy of Female Power - The thesis behind this book is that we seem to live in a patriarchal society that's actually matriarchal at its roots.

The Rational Male - It's no secret that bad relationships have ruined many men. This book (and the blog by the same name) is an eye-opener that will change the way you see relationships... forever, and prepare you for what's ahead.
