So here's what you need to do if you're interested in working together...

STEP 1

You'll fill out a short Copy Questionnaire to give me the basics: your industry, goals, contact info, etc.

STEP 2

If I think we might be a great fit, you'll receive an email to schedule a 15-minute Discovery Call to make sure we're clear on what we want to accomplish.

Sometimes clients need extra help figuring out how to prioritize their goals and what kinds of copy they'll need to achieve world domination. If that sounds like you, we'll schedule a paid Roadmapping Session (which is usually 10% of your total investment).

It's a 60-90 minute call for us to do a deep dive on your situation, goals, objectives, business challenges, and possible solutions. I'll follow up with a detailed PDF report that summarizes everything we discussed.

If we decide to move forward, your investment in the Roadmapping Session and Report will be credited towards your project or retainer. 

STEP 3

You'll have a tailored Action Plan emailed to you which will outline all the terms of our agreement. Then we'll schedule a 30-minute call for me to walk you through the Action Plan and answer any of your questions or concerns. 

If necessary, I'll have the Action Plan updated before getting your digital John Hancock. 

STEP 4

Once you accept the terms of our agreement, you'll get an invoice emailed to you via Freshbooks. I juggle a combination of client retainers and one-time projects, but I'll schedule you into my production calendar as soon as possible (usually within 2-3 weeks). 

I might also ask you for:

  • Existing style guidelines
  • Contact details for 3rd parties (Web Designers, Social Media Strategists, the Village Fishmonger, etc.)​
  • Wireframes​

STEP 5

WE GET TO WORK. You'll get a digital copy of your Business Breakthrough Workbook to begin the research phase and help us gain clarity on your target audience, brand, and competitors. 

Then I'll go undercover like Donnie Brasco to get to know your prospects and your competitors and infiltrate their world (wiretapping not included) - how they think, how they feel, and how they act. 

STEP 6

We create a Content Calendar so we can plan ahead with the necessary timelines and deadlines. 

STEP 7

I put pen to paper. You'll get a strong 1st draft so I can get your feedback early and make any necessary adjustments. If we need to, we'll schedule a 15-min call to discuss. 

STEP 8

I'll deliver heavy duffel bags to your house.

You'll get a money counter.

And you'll start lighting cigars with $100 bills. 

Your friends will start asking questions like "What's his secret?" Maybe you start buying up real estate all over the place or that Maserati you always wanted.

Projects over $10,000 require a 50% deposit to get started and need to be paid in full before my copy goes live.

Retainers require a 50% initial investment followed by invoices once a month

My minimum engagement rate is $2,000. If you need someone more junior, I may be able to recommend another Copywriter. 

By the way, my goal with all of my clients is to help you get at least a 10x return on your investment. And in the unlikely event that my copy totally bombs, I'll work with you until you get that 10x ROI or your money back.

Besides the carefully selected audience, brand and competitor interrogation questions I have you answer in your Business Breakthrough Workbook, I'll research your target's:

  • demographics
  • psychographics
  • primal desires + fears
  • core needs

  • and your category's level of market of sophistication

As you can see, I'm pretty thorough. Most Copywriters don't understand the difference between writing to entertain and writing to sell, so they just write to try to make your copy SOUND better.

I don't do that. All of the copy I write serves a strategic purpose. ​
