FAQ

How do I know your work will help my business grow?

Unfortunately, I can't guarantee results, since the performance of our copy is dependent on many variables outside my control (like traffic, design, quality of your product/service, etc.). What I can guarantee is a step-by-step process that's focused on constant improvement.

Do you do SEO?

SEO is a popular tactic, but it's important to remember that it's a tiny slice of the marketing wheel. A lot of clients just want a warm, conversational style in their copy. That said, I'll follow SEO best practices, but I want to make it clear that I'm not an SEO "guru" and if that's important to you you'll need to team up with an SEO specialist.

How much do projects cost?

I don't bill by the hour because this is the not best approach to deliver you quality work. I don't want you watching the clock and worrying about the number of billable hours, sacrificing the quality of your copy for fear of a ballooning budget.

That's why I either price per project or, ideally, on a long-term retainer (at least 3 months) so we can build an ongoing work relationship that improves our results over time.

How long do projects take?

This will vary quite a bit depending on your needs and your ability to provide feedback quickly. A website copy project can take a month while a blog retainer can last a year or more. I'll work with you to decide on an appropriate time frame.

How do you handle payments?

Payments are emailed through Paypal where you'll have the option to pay via Paypal or credit card.

I generally collect 50% of my fee upfront, with the remainder paid on the 1st and 15th of the month, although this can vary based on our project or retainer agreement.
